DFMA GUIDED ANALYSIS
A DFMA Guided Analysis is specifically designed to
provide participants with fast results and an immediate
payback. This is accomplished with a full session devoted to
performing team-oriented DFMA analyses and redesign on
participants' individual company products. Invariably,
participants leave the session with a new vision of ways to
improve the manufacturing efficiency and quality of their
own products and appreciate why DFMA is an important part of
the design process.
RESOURCES
Boothroyd Dewhurst services can be tailored to meet your
specific needs. The length of time required to
accomplish different goals depends on the specific products.
Typically a group of design and manufacturing engineers can
address most design challenges in one to three days.

This is a typical agenda for a one day DFMA Guided Analysis
featuring DFA analysis of a small product or subassembly:
- Introduction to DFMA
- Overview of the software features and functions
- Brief introduction to Design for Assembly
- Benchmark analysis of your product or assembly
- Lunch
- Brainstorming ideas for the purposes of redesign
- Redesign analysis of your product to show potential savings
- Printing of results for the team to take away from the session
Additional days cover DFA analysis of larger products and DFM costing of products.
